Good Vibrations

I’m writing this today because the day thus far has had some pretty good vibrations- and with that it was only fitting to write about something that keeps popping back into my mind (for months now), delivering me a little whimsical dopamine with its image each and every time.
The Good Vibrations cabinet was designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Fratelli Boffi, a nearly-century-old furniture house that began doing “style contaminations and collaborations with design avant-gardes” in the 1980s. That’s a direct quote from their website, and I think it's rad. Ferruccio Laviani, if you haven’t come across the name before, has been the Art Director at Kartell since 1991.
The design was produced in 2020, fabricated on CNC machines, and acquired by le Musée du Louvre during its 2021 annual acquisitions. It now lives in le Musée des Arts Décoratifs, one of the ten originally fabricated.

There is also a smaller version of the cabinet that is available for purchase at a price of ~€19.000 that may be a little easier to fit into your home, and I personally would be stoked to have in mine. This is not affiliated with the company in any way/an ad, I sent a price inquiry via their website form purely out of curiosity and for a little detail junkie fun- and vibes.
